Various Benchmarks for an AMD AM5 Hack

I saw a few posts on another site that were related to benchmarking a system (with a new Bios). So decided to undertake the same type of benchmark tests on my Asus B650E-F Gaming system.

We will start with the most common macOS/Hack benchmarks, Geekbench 6 (latest version).


CPU single core and multi core scores

Metal score

Open CL score (always bad on an AMD Hack)

These tests are a good way to tell if your system is running well or if you need to have a look at the thermal properties of your system.

These benchmarks are from Cinebench 24, which is a slightly newer version of the Cinebench Rendering app. Not the latest which is version 26.

GPU only score (not bad for an unsupported GPU)

Single-core score (good single-core score for this R7 9700X CPU)

Multi-core score

CPU ratio single/multi-core

For a long time Cinebench r23 was the main Rendering test app for anyone running a Hack.

Finally, a new benchmarking app, created by MaLdon (Brazilian Hackintosher). This runs a whole suite of tests which again can show you how well your system is behaving running macOS.

SSD Random read/write in focus

Multi-core score in focus.

This is the benchmark that told me to check the thermal functions for my dGPU. As a peak temp of 105° is damn high.
