Hello,

On the AMD OSX Discord server, I saw someone who had a success installing macOS on the AMD ASRock BC-250 but without adding any details on how he achieved that. I perfectly know that the BC-250 doesn't have a supported GPU but I wanted to install macOS just for "learning/testing" purposes.

It's indeed a very particular system : it uses a Cyan Fish Ryzen APU from the well-famous Sony PS5 (a Ryzen 7 4700S with 6 cores/12 threads) with an older A68 FCH chipset. I didn't have any success on booting the macOS installer yet : it's always stuck on "EXITBS". I tried to install macOS 15.7.3 Sequoia, USB created with Mist on my MacBook Pro M1 14". I'm very interested by achieving it. The guy on the Discord server didn't answer yet.

PS : I'm quite "experienced" with hackintoshing. I did more that twenty.

Without a compatible IGPU you are probably wasting your time.

As the only AMD IGPU kext (NootedRed.kext) available is unlikely to work with this system on a socket (SoC) configuration.

A lightweight Linux distro seems to be the only OS that readily supports this pared down Ryzen 7 2700 APU configuration.

Thanks for your answer. I perfectly know that it's not the greatest system to hack especially due to its SoC. I wanted to just boot macOS for "fun". I also saw that the M.2 NVMe slot can be used for a dedicated GPU but it's not very interesting.

Actually, my BC-250 is running Bazzite OS and it's perfectly fine. I just wanted to experiment a little bit with it. Maybe the guy who had success with the system on the Discord will reply.
