Upgrades Past 12.1 Don't Show Up...

I had the same problem with 12.1. Solved by creating a bootable 12.2 full installer and "re-installing" macOS 12.2 over the 12.1 on my Ryzentosh. It worked perfectly. And now even the 12.3 update showed up.

A bit scared of updating to 12.3

Done. Thank you! I initially forgot to refresh my config.plist :D The full installer actually starts now, but it leads to the recovery GUI. Not sure whether this is a good sign or not. I was expecting a macOS installer window, instead I find the typical "restore from backup - reinstall macOS -...

A bit scared of updating to 12.3

I have successfully updated to OC 0.7.9 (OC Auxillary Tool is amazing!), have enabled SIP and got Sys Prefs asking me to update to 12.3. However, just as a precaution, I tried to launch the 12.3 full installer from a bootable USB with my working EFI and it got stuck twice during boot. Does this...

    Can't upgrade to Monterey 12.2

Hey Shanee, Sorry to bother you. I have the same problem (using an EFI you sent me in December (AudioGod's). The 12.2 update does not appear in Sys Prefs. SecureBootModel is "Default" (but AppleSecureBoot is "false") and SIP is enabled. Any suggestions? I have a bootable USB with the 12.2...

Cannot upgrade to Monterey (trying to test it on a USB drive first...)

Hi there! I wanted to check safely that my EFI works with Monterey. I (think I) have followed all the Dortania guidelines and validated my EFI folder (OC 0.7.4) with the ocvalidate utility and it doesn't show any warning. The folder works fine on my internal SSD with Big Sur 11.5.2 (even...

    Success (easy peasy) AMD 5900X

Hi guys, I just wanted to share with you my success story. I was quite scared, seeing many people stuck at different stages in the process. Perhaps my choice of hardware helped. It went all smooth. I assembled the PC in about 2 hrs and installed Big Sur in less than 3. I had two hiccups: I...

https://www.dsogaming.com/news/amds-next-gen-navi-31-references-have-been-spotted-in-apple-macos-11s-big-sur-os/ Watch closely and there are references not only for Navi 31 (which they might be testing a prototype for a future Mac Pro) but also Navi 21.

Hello everyone! :) This is the build I'd like to try. Please, let me know if you think any of these components are critical: CPU (I know, it's not out yet) AMD Ryzen 5900X (12c) GPU (same here but at least I know drivers are in Big Sur)...

    State of ryzentosh?

@Aluveitie Thank you very much. Very kind of you. Is there a list of the incompatible software as there is for the hardware? Just curious. I heard about the Adobe issues and of course, VM can be an issue too. I need all the iCloud services (pages collaboration, facetime and imessage are...

    State of ryzentosh?

Are Ryzentosh viable in 2020? I read everything and its opposite if I look online and many comments are as old as January. Do FaceTime, iCloud, iMessage, Siri, Handoff and Continuity work? Intel hackintoshes cost around 250$ more than the equivalent AMDs. Am I getting into pointless trouble...
